• Woman in the Red Dress, Kara Henderson interviewed JonJon Kraft for the NFL Network and needless to say, the camera was on ‘Lil Bob way too much.
• Kiper’s make-up level is approaching that of Carrot Top.
• Tags got booed for announcing the Niners were on the clock. Show some respect you morons.
Suzy Kolber – you had me at good morning. The green for the green room was risky, but she gets away with everything. You’ll never convince me differently.
• Braylon Edwards is the most camera and PR ready of the New York Six. His bling bling watch suggests he wouldn’t quite fit with the Pats anyway.
• I miss the Theater at MSG – more of a chance for fisticuffs with Jets and Giants fans in the smaller venue.
• ESPN.com continues to push the Internet design envelope with its dedicated Top of the Scroll section for the Draft. Nice work. . . NFL.com is fairly pedestrian and the Adam Schefter experiment isn’t working on any levels. He’s a poor man’s Seth Davis during interviews on The Network and a similar run-of-the-mill scribe on the Web.
• I hope I’ve mentioned it before, but the Rich Eisen hire by the NFL Network has paid off in every way imaginable. He works well with the sometimes rough athletes or ex-athletes, and he has an easy way about him that reminds you of how unassuming coverage can be.
• The Mel Kiper Draft Report is the Bible, according to Berman. This further confirms Kornheiser’s belief that Pope-naming was secondary to Draft.
• Aaron Rodgers and Alex True Value Smith were cloned at the same QB factory, we’re guessing.
• Why is ESPN venturing into pay-per-view boxing at the time of the sports darkest period? They usually know something we don’t, but this one stretches credibility.
