We couldn’t let this Daisuke Matsuzaka Press Conference production go without the due attention it deserves. We’ll stay with you for the next hour, at least. Should be a fun ride - don’t be afraid to chime in and get some dialogue going.

• Our first Doc Chuck sighting (standing at the podium) came at 5:45 p.m.

• Good to see the Herald’s Jeff Horrigan and the Globe’s Gordon Edes and Nick Cafardo going at it in the Dice-K Blog Wars.

• NESN’s billing its day-long coverage the “Matsuzaka Marathon” and they had “Exclusive” footage of Theo giving Dice-K the tour of the Sox’ digs in the 3 o’clock hour, and the Dice-K pitch to John Henry that sent the Boston Boss back on his arse.

• Mike O’Malley – one of the larger fraud Sox fans in all of Hollywood – joined Tom Caron and Don-O on NESN at ten minutes to 5. O’Malley was wound up on caffeine or some stimulant. If Ben calls in, we’re implementing a week-long NESN ban.

• So, if you could choose, would you take Thanksgiving with The Schillings or the corss-country flight with Dice-K. In fact, how did the Sox Travel Arm miss out on the clearcut marketing opportunity on the Dice-K Express: “Share An Historic Plane Ride at Matsuzaka and Boras End the Charade, Mid-Air.”

Maybe next time, when they’re signing Rocket.
