• Thank you Doc Chuck for getting wireless mics in the room so we can hear the questions. Looks like Mike Dowling gets Helen Thomas honors with the first question. Sounds like Gordon Edes got the second question.

• Got stuck at ESPN2 for a minute when the long cue stick Ewa Laurance was doing trick shots. Mmmmmm, trick shots.

• A runaway cab that has injured four in Dorchester was getting Breaking News coverage at Channel 5, right up until John Henry, Tom Werner, Lucky, Theo, Dice-K, the translator and Scott Boras arrived at the dais.

• Don Orsillo started touching on the subject of how the Sox will handle the overflow media contingent that will now dominate the cramped public access spaces of Fenway. Someone get Janet Marie Smith on that will you.

• FOX25 had technical (video) problems to lead of its coverage; the other locals, NBC7, NECN, ABC5 and CBS4. NESN experience some audio difficulties in a throw from Tom Caron to Hazel Mae just after 4 p.m.

• We had money that Dice-K wouldn’t keep the hat on - he had foreshadowed the move in the locker room. First sign that he may be a bit of a pretty boy. Doesn’t want to mess the hair up?

• Where’s the translator so the morons at WEEI can understand everything. The Idiot Translator, if you will?
