Two quick Shots as we remind you that we’ll be courtside for CSTV.com for the CAA Tournament beginning in the early afternoon and continuing through Monday night’s title game.

• We got word from The Boston Sports Guy, ESPN’s Bill Simmons that he is NOT going to be jumping ship to the Sports Illustrated (as we had speculated earlier this week). We’re guessing this sentence should quell any further rumor-mongering:

“I would never work for SI,” Simmons said via email on Friday night, “they’ve slipped so much that they couldn’t even throw a party for the Swimsuit Issue without giving everybody Hepatitis A.”

Okay, that clears that up.

• The Dice-K NESNterruption hour of programming is being replayed on Saturday at 4 p.m. on ‘SOX-TV.’ The Herald’s Steve Buckley was very careful not to say that the Dice-K dedicated programming was a first in the broadcast history. It surely was, but more importantly it was a full hour infomercial for both Red Sox Nation and Boston College Nation (complete with club president, Gene DeFilippo).

That’s the Fenway Sports Group at its best, right there folks.
