BRSITOL, Conn. - Welcome to the cafeteria building, conference rooms C&D at the worldwide headquarters of the Worldwide Leader, ESPN.

George Bodenheimer, ESPN president is currently giving opening remarks to the 30 or so media workshop attendees and will soon open to questions. Also in the room are John Skipper, the Executive VP of content, Ed Dorso, EVP of Administration and sneaking in for the session is also John Walsh, Senior Vice President & Executive Editor ESPN Internet Group (here at ESPN since 1988).

“We feel like our company is moving forward quite rapidly and evolving quite rapidly,” said Bodenheimer. “We were in the game (internet) 10 years ago and the magazine is 10 years old too. The company doesn’t bare much resemblance to what it was five or ten years ago. I feel like we were ahead of the game in serving our fans and it isn’t always just about TV as you know.”

. . . Bodenheimer is quite proud of his network’s coverage of the Michael Vick story, saying: “I don’t think anyone has covered the Vick story better than us.”

. . . Just to prove that ESPN hasn’t blocked or censored our writings, we proclaim that DISNEY SUCKS.
There. We’re free to think and write as we wish here. (And actually, we’re quite fond of Mickey.)

We’ll be back with more after the session.

See you soon.
