It’s popping up everywhere, but we just can’t let it go without some praise for Big Papi’s sit-down with Conan O’Brien on Friday night.

You’ll want to watch the whole eight-and-half-minutes, but the highlight comes when Ortize, the man in the scorpion-Bedazzled sport coat, gives O’Brien his signature sign-off to reporters, “Go home, and get some ass.” It comes at about 5:50 and impels a precious Conan reaction.

Ortiz may have taken the cake with his late-night appearance, edging out Jonathan Papelbon on Letterman and far outpacing Manny on Leno. (Although Manny’s fist bump with the 40-year-old-virgin, Steve Carell, is quite comical on many levels.)

• And oh yeah, the darnedest football box score you will ever see. The best part? It tied the Minutemen’s own shared-NCAA record for safeties in a game ( established vs. Albany on Sept. 17, 2005).
