<description>Best voice mail message of the weekend Shots received from a somewhat bitter ex-Red Sox employee: "At least with that win against the Colts, we won't have to hear about the Sox for a few days!"

Trupe? Is that you?

<description>That's too bad about BSR - I run into Jerry every so often at college games here and I thought he had a pretty good thing going.

And I'm with you about the comments on the post-game handshake between the coaches. I wonder if they just do the obligatory handshake and then say something like, "I'll call you tomorrow" instead of having a long, drawn-out conversation right there with everyone around.

<description>I would have to disagree with you about Gil Santos. You say that he is "barely tolerable." I'm a Sirius subscriber, so I have had the chance to listen to more than a few local broadcast teams from around the country. Gil gives a coherent description of the game, with formation, field position, substitutions, and gives a much better play call than most TV announcers. That cannot be said for most of the league. Gil is one of the better play by play men in the NFL.
