<description>The media is going to whine about the Patriots, period. When the Patriots won three of four Super Bowls, they wouldn't call it a dynasty because they didn't "dominate" teams. Now that they're blowing opponents out, they're accused of "running up the score".

Basically, the Patriots can't win for losing with the national media.

<description>You missed another problem with the Globe's new website - it doesn't show who writes each article. You now need to actually open the link to find out who wrote the article.

<description>You're a lot further off base than the "homers" you complain about. You say " it's about proving to the league and the nation that "spygate" has no bearing on this season. It's about making a statement on each and every Sunday (or Monday night). It's about re-writing record books."
Really? Then why have the Patriots played this way every single year of the Belichick era? The only difference is now that they have the weapons to do it so often. Every year for the past 4 years the Pats have been in blowouts where they didn't let up and the media whined - do you remember Testaverde's "meaningless" TD pass last year? Remember how hard the Pats defense fought to shut out a whipped Buffalo team in the rematch of 2003? Remember how they destroyed the Packers last year and all the complaints about "what's Brady still doing in there in the 4th quarter?" Anyone who claims this year's approach is something different really has not been paying any attention. The only difference between this year and the past is that with Moss and Welker, no one can stop them. I think Brady's being perfectly sincere - these guys love playing, why should they let up?
