What makes Dave O'Brien all that great? He's got the golden pipes, sure, but he brings no life to the broadcast. I'd rather have a guy screaming "Waaaay Back!!!" for a routine fly ball than the mellow tones of Obie.

Also, I don't know who told Dale Arnold that he had a great voice for broadcasting (probably the same person who told Peter Shepard he had a career in the biz). Arnold's voice, to me, sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Dave, I could not agree with you less when it comes to Dale Arnold. I have listened to him since he was with the Maine Mariners and I feel he has an outstanding voice and describes the action as well as anybody else. You seem to have an ax to grind with him as well. I remember you ripping him after he left NESN because he would dare defend himself as to why he was fired. I think it stinks that he found out from another source other than NESN. If there are any falsehoods in what NESN said then he has every right to refute them. As far as Jeff Rickard goes, he has been fired by both ESPN and SNR for one reason. He is a total yawn. There are not many more bad broadcasters around. When SNR fires you, you have to really stink with the horrible lineup of shows there. (Tim Brando and Todd Wright are you kidding me?)
