I will never forget the game in early april when The RemDog Mr. career high 5 hr in a season was critiquing Mannys swing.

From what was said during yesterdays “day game after a night game” Heidi will start tonight in Detroit. Not a moment too soon with Don Orsillo flubbing Amalie Benjamin’s name — more fodder for the Rem-dog — and almost bleeding to death before the pre-game interview.

Don was doing double duty, and as Remy said, he was getting great camera time for it — I guess he’ll miss that.

As far as Heidi goes Remy gave her the heads up about the state of Boston’s roads and travel directions, the weather here in New England, and the great 5:30 AM arrival times the team and traveling media personnel share.

Does Heidi Watney’s hire mean that we will be seeing less of Don Orsillo? Comments he made during today’s game seem to indicate that. Sure hope not. Orsillo and Remy make a great pair, in my opinion/

Has Heidi been in Boston yet to interview? I heard that there is a girl in Baltimore that they are also interested in… and I am guessing she wasn’t fired or “given a bad wrap.”

As an aquaintance of the Watney family from Fresno, she was given a bad wrap by the local Fox affliate. Heidi knows her sports. She comes from a sports family. Her dad is golf coach at Fresno State. He cousin is Nick Watney, up and coming on the PGA. Her sister was a top notch volleyball player and is now an assistant VB coach for a national champion collegiate team. Give her chance. Looks don’t hurt the ratings either.
