You want a sideline reporter? What exactly do they provide that you're missing in the game experience? Yikes.

Johnny Eye -- I think you are right on. Unfortunately for NESN the Bruins are winning and forcing a game seven -- that continues to mean their programming is taxed too thin -- talent locked in.

Once the Bruins lose -- that might be for awhile (hopefully) -- then NESN has the opportunity to move talent around.

Saving money at the expense of the viewer -- priceless.

THe lack of a sldeline reporter hire leads me to believe they're waiting for the hockey season to be over so they can slide Kathryn Tappen into the slot. She's done fine on hockey, this would be a win-win.

So does this mean Paps is going to be telling me to 'See Your New England Audi-Porsche/Mercedes/Acura/Toyota/Honda/Infiniti dealer TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! AM radio is a wasteland of commercials. A one-minute spot on Purina Cat Chow by Gil Santos on WBZ a year or so ago caused me to give up on AM radio entirely. ONE FRIGGING MINUTE OF CAT-CHOW TALK!!! Now, my iPod wins with commercial-free daily podcasts.

You can bet that after your article about the lack of sideline reporter is viewed by NESN, they'll have an announcement by tomorrow morning. They react to everything that's written and must NEVER be questioned.

The choice is easy. Put Eric Frede back on the sideline. You can put Mary Poppins out there and people will watch. Why not put a knowledgeable, professional, and respected journalist on the field. (What a concept!)

But the Joel Feld Female Fascination will continue and he'll continue to play, I can top that!
Get the hottest girl out there and pop the champagne. It's really quite comical.

Hazel Mae is the best hire in the history of that company. Don't keep trying to outdo yourself NESN.

Does Jonathan Papelbon have an agent -- if so why is the agent not brokering a deal with Prime Motor Group? What no 10% incentive? Will WRKO have it's hand in Papelbon's pocket? You bet it will -- one way or the other.

And more importantly -- what kind of car is the Celtic Dancer going to get out of this deal?

Myself -- I'd go to the CEO's climate controlled garage and pick out a nice vintage model.

The Big O today joked with Cedric Maxwell on how he opted for a watch as his gift for his being named as the MVP of the 1981 NBA Finals, and kidded Max about not picking the car that all the other players so honored had chosen.

Max asked where all those cars are now, all rusted and gone right, but the watch (which probably has increased in value) was right there on his wrist. The guy made a value judgement call and is reaping the benefit of it today.

Papelbon -- go for the value and pull a pass on an Audi-Porsche or the Mercedes in Westwood, skip the Acura in Walpole, bypass the Toyota - Scion and Honda in West Roxbury/Dedham, and ignore the Infiniti in Hanover ...

Go to the owners garage and pick his 1974 Chevrolet Chevelle Laguna S3 coupe if he's smart enough to own one -- it's your oyster dude go for it.
