That’s too bad. I liked to be able to flip back and forth between 850 and 890. Can;t stand ‘EEI when Glen isn’t on or when they start talking about steroids or spygate. Hopefully Felger will fill in for Dale when he’s off doing the Sox.

This is tremedosly disappointing news. I am one of the biggest sports junkie’s around, and I CANNOT listen to the big show it is sooooo bad. Felger’s show was monumentarily better, not so much because of Felger (who is ok, much better than anybody on eei 2-6pm) but because of the quality of guests from the ESPN lineup. Its a shame that 890 did not invest in their station a bit more, increase the signal, market the show. EEI continues to dominate the afternoon drive ratings solely based on size and familiarality. The talent is so bad on that show, and as mentioned earlier all they do is shout people down. Ordway plays to the level of his co-hosts, so he does havethe potential to be good. Unfortunately his co-hosts are so bad that he sinks to their level. Heres to my hour long commute home sucking just a bit more………

Today is a sad day indeed. Felger’s show was good. Not great, but good. That’s all it needed it to be to lure me away from the blowhards at WEEI. They do nothing but talk you out of the water. Disagree with them? Good luck getting a word in edge-wise. The Big BLOW bring absolutely nothing to the table. I want to hear less from him, and more from the panel and call-in guests. Felger had that. He may not have been the greatest, but he was better than the alternative. I will miss his show.

Felger is perfect for the blowhards at EEI. His non-stories containing analysis not found anywhere else are the rants of a spoiled child craving the attention of idiot callers.

This move confirms his status as the Jay Severin of sports talk radio. Why couldn’t he find a market that would appreciate his ample talents - like Winnemuca Nevada?

Hate to rain on your parade Steve, but it sounds like Felger will be in Burlington between 2-6 weekdays, preparing for his 6:30 CSN show with Tanguay. The greater likelihood is he’ll call in for a segment or two but I doubt he’ll be replacing any of the dregs you mentioned. I tend to think Felger will have a larger presence on the new website than on the air at ‘EEI.
