People can bash EEI all they want (I personally have pulled for 1510 and 850 every step of the way), but the way they are going at this is impressive and I'm excited about it. Sure, The Big Show is pretty much cancer to the ears when Ordway is distracted or not there and North End Pete is allowed to run loose, but I'm sick of having to lean on espn.com for solid sports web news and why not support a local until working to get better and be more dynamic than the local papers? Does Tony Mazz really think the Globe is rock-solid? Come on. I hate to see the Globe and Herald go down the tubes (and all the layoffs and circulation numbers tell the story) but a new outfit I think will bring both new blood (as already happened) and renewed vigor from retreads. I'm hoping so anyway. A big thanks to Shots for all the reporting on this, may the town drama contiue!

At one time I would jump through hoops to listen to weei.... - North of Portland Maine ,its not easy getting the signal...--- But then it seemed to become more involved with wingnut talking pionts then the Boston sports. Nice to have alternatives- The rise of the internets, !!!-- I like others here..am reluctant to enter -weei -in 'the google' to see what it offers.. Me too hate the thought of helping out the wingnuts at eei.... I'll miss Bradford.

Any site that features the crap that Larry Johnson draws/traces on its front page is not a first class, professional site.

I read Gordon Edes every day, lead to close, whether it was a game story, feature, or notebook. Since he moved to yahoo.com, I haven't read a word he has written, and likely won't. This also applies to weei.com. The bottom line is that it will still be years before online journalists receive the same level of respect as their "ink-stained" bretheren. Massarotti was right not to make the move, and Bradford (a major talent) will regret "sellling out."

Beyond that, why in the world would I ever bookmark a site that further feathers the nest for a talentless swine like Pete Shepherd.

Will Leitch made his living partly off of bashing Boston, not the teams, the city, and encouraging his readers to do the same. Between him and Borges being hired by them and the fact that out of 11 blogs, not one of them is written by a woman, I'm pretty sure I won't be visiting eei.com any time soon.

It's too bad. I like Bradford, but not enough to give EEI the traffic.

After perusing a few of the WEEI.com columns my primary comment is this: please use a larger and different font.

It was interesting, though perhaps not surprising, that Borges' column had nothing along the lines of "happy to be here writing about ABC, looking forward to XYZ," and the like. Felger and Bradford lead in with some self-deprecating humor as an introduction. Borges just cranks out football analysis as if he'd never been stuck out in the wilderness for over a year. I don't know if that means he's simply pressing forward without an eye to the past or just that he's no less an arrogant jerk than he was before. I suppose it's both actually.

Would have given EEI a peek until Maseroftu and Borges were hired. Now? Not until Borges proves he's not the sleaze-bag he's been his entire life until now. I swear, if he ever got cancer I'd stop donating money to the Jimmy Fund and hope they couldn't find a cure until he was finished.

Leitch? Great hire - Bostonians needs an outsiders view of Boston but it doesn't offset the hiring of that pair of fart sniffers.
