WEEI.com will fail. It is as inevitable as Shepturd embarrassing himself on the Big Show tomorrow. Come December, if the Patriots are 6-9, the Bruins are the Bruins and the Celtics are having a championship hangover, their hits will plummet and Bradford (he’s the Ben Bradlee of dot com, right?) will learn you can’t build an empire by simply throwing money at available staff.

Good point by Soog - EEI.com is working with an outside vendor for a major redesign that will hit in early 2009. In the meantime, I use either the columnists and blogs drop down or the box below the rotating content box that has the key contributors and their most recent submissions listed.

EEI.com needs a better format. As it is now you can either click on the stories they rotate in the front page or you have to go hunting by writer. You have to click on everyone if you want to see if there is new content from anyone. It’s laborious and I just stopped doing it. They need a front page like a espn.com or cnnsi.com.

“Sports Reporters” is a misnomer. The show should really be called “Mike Lupica and whoever agrees with him”. John Saunders isn’t close to the moderator that Dick Schaap was and the show suffers greatly because of it.
